A little something about me.
I'm a Senior UX/UI designer and strategist with 15+ years of experience, currently looking for a chance to help people enjoy interacting with technology by creating user centered digital experiences.
I have worked as a UX team lead, Senior user experience architect, interaction designer, and usability researcher since 1993 for Fortune Global 500, and Fortune 500 companies B2B and B2C industries such as American Family Insurance, Sears, Ricoh, CNA, Credit Suisse, and ABN AMRO Bank. I have created and maintained UX/UI pattern libraries, wireframe guidelines, and web accessibility guidelines and standards for a number of corporations. I also have experience working in Agile, Waterfall, and other management approaches and methodologies.
I received a B.F.A. in visual design from Northern Illinois University where I become an articulate visual designer. Early in my career, many designers like myself were encouraged to make clients' emerging web and application offerings more visually attractive, often at the expense of their usability.
Unsatisfied with this attitude, the needlessly complex, unintuitive, and frustrating technology I was encountering more and more frequently, and driven by the belief that beauty and usability can exist in the same space, I entered the user experience field. Later, I would attend classes given by Human Factors International and Corsera to become a Certified Usability Analyst and achieve a specialization in Google AI.
